Shanti's Scrumdiddilyumptious Berry Cobbler Dough: Mix 3/4 cup unsifted flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 Tbs baking powder, 4 Tbs sugar in an inverted umbrella. I suppose you can use a bowl instead of an umbrella. Cut in 4-6 Tbs cold butter, as if making a pie crust. Stop cutting the butter while there are still some lumps. If you screw this up, the cobbler will be less flaky. Bummer. Dump in 5/8 cup cold milk and mix. If the dough is too dry, add some more milk. Fruit: Defrost a package of frozen fruit (12-16 oz) in the microwave for a couple minutes. Dump the fruit into a bowl and stir it around a bit, then put it back into the microwave until some of the fruit is lysed. For Trader Joe's Boysenberries, mix in 1/2 cup light brown sugar and 3 Tbs corn starch, and cook the fruit until it starts to steam. For ripe, sweet raspberries, don't do anything. Spread the dough into a greased 9" pie pan. Try not to handle it too much. There's no need to spread it perfectly, either. Then, dump the hot fruit on top and cook everything for 30 minutes in the oven at 425F.
